Membership 
If you are a cavalry veteran or serving soldier, have a family member who served in the cavalry, are a military historian, equestrian competitor, cavalry reenactor, or just have an interest in preserving the traditions of the U.S. Cavalry we invite to join our membership roles. There are many benefits to membership including publications and our annual events and meetings.

Show your commitment to preserving the history, heritage, and horsemanship of the cavalry by joining the U.S. Cavalry Association. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in preserving the memory and traditions of the American Cavalry. We welcome everyone to join us to keep alive the traditions and spirit of the Cavalry—civilian or military; young or old; individuals, families, reenactment groups, equestrian units, and corporations.

There are two options to join or renew your USCA membership:

Annual membership is valid January 1 – December 31.

The U.S. Cavalry Association is recognized as tax exempt by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501 (c) (3). Contributions may be tax-deductible.

As an individual or family member you will:

  • Be awarded the proud title of Trooper
  • Receive quarterly the Cavalry Journal historical magazine and Crossed Sabers member newsletter
  • Be invited to the Annual Bivouac—held at historical locations with fine hotel facilities—to share your interest in cavalry with like-minded troopers
  • Be eligible to participate as a competitor in the National Cavalry Competition held in conjunction with the Annual Bivouac

As an organizational or corporate member you will:

  • Receive quarterly the Cavalry Journal historical magazine and Crossed Sabers member newsletter
  • Receive one banner advertisement on the US Cavalry Association website for one year. (You must provide the artwork. Contact us for more details.
  • Your organization will be invited to the Annual Bivouac—held at historical locations with fine hotel facilities—to share your interest in cavalry with like-minded troopers
