Part I, “Selection of the Animal”, covers choosing the right horse for the job, saddling and training a pack horse. Part II, “The Pack Saddle”, covers two saddles: the Philips Cargo Saddle and the Phillips Cavalry Pack Saddle. Part III, “The Cargo Saddle,” covers cargo equipment and packing for machine fun, ammunition and supplies. Part IV. “Field Adjustment and Care of Equipment,” shows adjusting of saddles and taking care of equipment in the field. Also included is a silent film showing 5th Army pack mules in Italy in WWII. 80 minutes B&W, sound/silent.
